You are welcome. I love seeing the butterflies from other areas, especially some of the ones from half way around the world. They are interesting gentle insects.

I didn't even know that many ID markers were on the underwing. I thought the forewing would bear the most information, but I don't know much about butterflies. This is something I will definitely keep in mind for future spottings.

This butterfly is unusually dark, but I have seen them where the lower wing spots are not at all clear. Many id markers on butterflies are on the underwing. but the forewing with 2 stripes in the cell, no white spots, and no eyespots near the outer margin, and the light tipped antenna are what I used for my ID suggestion.
