These were such a sight to see after 2,000 vertical feet of hiking, and the flower adds such a nice touch. Life is beginning to emerge anew here in the desert. :)

Habitat:

Found at about 7,000+ feet in elevation, and many similar groups of cacti are abundant on this hiking trail.
