Rhizopus
White filamentous fungus with Sporangiophores at the ends of each rhizoid.
In a local park on doggie donuts.
The source is dog donations that were not removed from the park by their owners. This is possibly; Rhizopus arrhizus, Rhizopus azygosporus, Rhizopus microsporus, Rhizopus schipperae, and Rhizopus stolonifer.

All good in the name of science.
Leuba I put the viewfinder on full screen and hold the camera at arms length. I call it 'shoot and run' Rather reluctant to even post this stuff but i guess even mycology is biology,
....and, was anyone watching you ?
very interesting ! I love the yellow pinheads...how close did you get ??
Yes. These also grow on tomatoes and bread but there are several species. I am considering this may contain two species or one older than the other. I will check back. Pics 1,2 and pics 3,4 are 50m apart and may represent two doggie do do's and two errant owners.
Wow fascinating martin and excellent first shot. Isn't it amazing what dogs can teach us.
