Baby Red-shouldered Hawk

Buteo lineatus

Description:

This baby hawk came from a nest that was destroyed by a falling tree during a wetland restoration project. I was told that it was a Red-shouldered, but we never did see the parents. We took it to a wildlife rehabilitation center where it hopefully got the care it needed, it was obviously still very young.

Adorable!! Wonderful thing you did...and perfectly done! I'd love you to add this spotting and your other raptor spottings to the mission Raptors of North America: http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/8627...
