Eastern Gray Squirrel

Sciurus carolinensis

Description:

Mostly gray in color with some red in face and tail and sides. White underbelly, bushy tail, small ears. Not shy and very. Feeds mostly on nuts, except when people are around.

Habitat:

Forests, thought mentioned mostly Oak forests, I've seen them mostly in redwood forests.

Notes:

Thought these are Eastern Grays, they have been introduced to the western United States. This one here I spotted in the wild in Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, WA
