Description:

this looks like a bufo marinus. however, I have never seen this pattern on the backs or color on any of the bufo marinus in our area and there are thousands of them. this was about 4" long. this was the toad that the guarder snake was trying to eat in the last spotting.

Habitat:

tropical dry forest in NW Costa Rica 6 weeks into the rainy season.
