A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
A very tiny Bark Louse of 3 mm. Getting down to 2 or 3 mm and it gets hard to tell what a little creature is until it is magnified. This one has a minuscule abdomen barely any larger that the head. The wings are clear with 2 brown spots and some grey areas, as well as darkly defined wing venation. Family Psocidae, Order Psocoptera.
Garden lights, semi-rural residential area, San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico 2,200 meters.
