Description:

small, brown to black, characteristic blue belly in adults.

Habitat:

Common throughout California, but also seen in eastern and southwest Oregon, the Columbia River Gorge, southwest Idaho, Nevada, western Utah, northwestern Baja California, and some islands off California and Baja.

Notes:

these little buggers were feeling amorous.
