Gray Rat Snake

Pantherophis spiloides

Grayish brown tree snake with brown geometric shapes on its back and sides ranging from parallelograms to a strange mix of triangles on trapezoid like shapes. It also has sort of metallic copper-gold eyes with black pupil. A very cool looking design.

Gray Rat Snakes are found in Southeastern Georgia. Their habitats include rocky timbered hills, hardwood forests, river floodplains and swamp margins.
