Scudderia cuneata
Katydid nymph on a wild blackberry. It has bright, neon colors. One of the comments on Bug Guide implied that the red-orange head distinguishes it from other Scudderia species (http://bugguide.net/node/view/116049/bgp...).
My yard, found on a blackberry bush at the edge of the woods.

Hi Mandy, I can't identify the genus or species of this nymph. However, I can tell you without a doubt that this is a katydid nymph and not a grasshopper nymph. the tell tale sign is the very long antennae. Check out this spotting os a similar nymph:

I made the same mistake as you did thinking it was a grasshopper nymph
