I updated the ID of this Elegant flower!Thnx again Amber!
i am a surprised to know it is a wild flower!!I am assuming that these are found here because they prefer oak habitat and we have lots of oak trees. This one though was a part of local landscaping and not found under an oak tree.
Clarkia are one of my favorit wild flowers and there are so many variations in your area - I found several in the Placerville area last summer
