Pteroglossus torquatus

Description:

A small toucan, about 40cm. It has a yellow chest with a a red horizontal string. The beak is between brown and dark red, with spots of black and yellow. It eats a bit of everything, mainly fruits, but also small insect or amphibians, even eggs.

Habitat:

Spotted among the channels of Tortuguero National Park.
