Description:

The Eastern Meadowlark is medium size with a short tail and long spear-shaped bill. They are pale brown with distinct head stripes, yellow underparts and a bold black V across their chest.

Habitat:

This pair flew into the tall vegetation next to a pond at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge.
