Anas acuta
Male ducks have a chocolate brown head and neck. A thin white line goes up the neck from the white breast. Long central tail feathers extend from the black rear end. Sides and back are gray with long light edged feathers. the bill is black with bluish gray stripes and the eyes are dark brown.
Resting in a shallow pond at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge.
