It is actually a Shield Bug or Jewel Bug. Stink Bugs are Pentatomidae. Yours is Scutelleridae, but both are in the same superfamily Pentatomoidea. in UK all these are called Stink Bugs, but I suggest that you take the less irritating common name shield bug.
