Diamondback Terrapin

Description:

Wasn't a very large snapper, but the beak nose and the very large and sharp claws make me confident this was a snapper.

Habitat:

crawling along a gravel path at Bombay Hook

Notes:

The state symbol of Maryland ... spotted in Delaware

Not to disrespect the common snapping turtle, but I think your spotting is WAY cooler. :-) It's a diamondback terrapin.
