Derbid hopper

Saccharodite chrysonoe

Description:

Crossed eyes and two pairs of clear wings. About 7mm long including wings.

Habitat:

Resting on a metallic painted car hood at night.

Notes:

These planthoppers are always cross-eyed which runs in the family. Not 100% with this ID. Not a lot of information to species. Hope to review later. Nick Monahaghan seems to agree though... http://lifeunseen.com/index2_item_6874.p...

Ha! ..although I'm not quite sure if the huge biceps are necessary.

Perhaps it is time for a non cross eyed Derbid hopper guy with big wings and huge biceps to charm some of the ladies in this species...
