There's a German name for it, Jeannette - it's a common one here, called "Prächtiger Blattkäfer", spread over large parts of Europe - it's the problem with wiki...not the most certain information.

Have you checked the range? Wiki: Chrysolina fastuosa also known as Dead-nettle Leaf Beetle,[1] is a species of beetle from a family of Chrysomelidae, that can be found in Caucasus, North Turkey,[2] and in Czeck Republic and Slovakia.

No, it don't think so, Jeannette :)
2nd and 3rd shot show pretty good the rainbow-shimmering coat, which the C. varians is lacking of.

I think it looks more like this :)
