Description:

This female langur with its baby was spotted, as I was traveling by road through Mudumalai Reserve forest, on the way to Mysore.

Habitat:

These are old world monkeys which feed on leaves, fruits, and seeds. A troop of these monkeys may contain 20 - 50 individuals. Tufted gray langur is listed as a "Near Threatened" species.
