Determining the snake would be easier if you could see the eyes better

Well the shape of the fish looks similar to a catfish, but theres clearly no whiskers, I'm not sure about this one. Good job though

Thanks for the help in helping to identify the snake. It was taken up at Indian Lake in Ohio, not far from a McDonalds by the lakes edge in Lakeview. Any ideas on the fish it's caught for dinner?

Many water snakes darken with age, so that's why yours doesn't have a vivid pattern. Very nice spot!
