Pelidnota punctata
Large beetle, golden brown with a few black spots. Antennae are orangey with a "three-finger" end; can hold them below his head. Body is about the size of a quarter.
Found on the patio and put on a grape leaf for observation. Now appears to be eating the leaf.
Putting it on the grape leaf was an excellent choice! :-) Super spotting and welcome to Project Noah.
