It appears to be a toad! Michigan only has two species that I know of...Eastern American Toad (Anaxyrus americanus americanus) and the Fowler's Toad (Anaxyrus fowleri). I'm having a hard time looking at the number of warts within the dark spots. 3+ = Fowler's; > 3 = American. Nice find.
