Description:

This is one of many blooms on the Buttonbushes that line the edge of Lake Lewisville in Texas. This shrub is important for its erosion control against wave action, cover, nectar and seeds. As the blooms fade and drop many seeds will form in the ball like clusters.

Habitat:

Riparian lake edge.
