Coprinellus micaceus
Clumps of dome-shaped orange-yellow mushrooms with dark centres and pale margins about 30mm wide. The caps had fine striations and a white bloom. Some caps were covered with minute white specks. The stipes were white and the gills appeared to have a whitish bloom as well but the faces of the gills were dark suggestive of a brown or black spore print .
Spotted growing under a Pittosporum tree in a damp gully.
