Lynx Spider

Hamataliwa grisea

Description:

I've seen others call this species the Cat Spider :) This is the second of this species I saw on the same day. Before this day, I didn't know they even existed. This spider was about 8 mm long and blended in well with the dark parts of the tree. When it moved onto the light part, I was able to see it.

Habitat:

Eucalyptus tree at Lake Poway park
