Citrus Flatid Planthopper

Metcalfa pruinosa

Description:

This ghostly-blue colored leafhopper was almost a centimeter long--ginormous in the world of hoppers! It could fly for a while before landing, as it seemed to float through the air with tissue-like wings, which it had to fold back in after landing, a process which took a few minutes.
