Swallow-tailed Kite

Elanoides forficatus

Description:

It measures 58 cm. and weighs 480 grams. It has long and pointed wings, long tail and deeply forked. It use the legs to catch insects, lizards, snakes and chick from the nest; sometimes fruits directly from vegetation or catch insects in the air. They often eat while flying.

Forest and farm areas
