Shrubby perennial 2-4 ft. tall, stems woody, densely branched, with numerous flowers. Yellow heads on single stalks. About 12 ray flowers, numerous disc flowers. Deeply divided leaves.

Habitat:

Common in deserts, mountains, dry plains.
