Canada Goldenrod or Common Goldenrod

Solidago canadensis

Description:

Made up of tiny daisy-like "flowers", a central disk flower and surrounding petals, like daisies. Plants often form colonies.

Habitat:

Found in a variety of habitats. Not very tolerant of shade - so usually in more open areas.

Notes:

These were everywhere. This one just happened to be all alone in a crevice between rocks near Thunder Hole.
