Water Moccasin

Agkistrodon piscivorus

Description:

Water Moccasin a.k.a. Cottonmouth. Easily 5' long, the longest I have ever seen. Width as wise as my arm.

Habitat:

Wetland area near large body of water.

Notes:

Would have loved to have gotten a closer picture, but was unable to do so. Great story involving this snake 5 minutes after the picture. Come by N.B. Forrest State Park to hear it, been telling it to all the visitors I have come across today.
