definitely a puffball, although, if you have any thoughts of eating it, it is important to cut through the mushroom and note the inside. If it is uniform, white and with no mushroom shape inside then it is a puffball... usually has slightly cheesy texture, as opposed to standard mushroom texture.

Once it begins to color(spores maturing) then it is no longer tasty.

If you see the shape of a mushroom inside, it is (most likely) poisonous Amanita in the "egg" stage
