Belted Kingfisher

Description:

I was taking pictures of a green heron on a dock when all of the sudden this kingfisher landed on the railing right in front of me! If it was lighter out the blue would have stood out better. This one's a dude since it doesn't have any red on its belly.

Habitat:

On a dock next to the West Branch Susquehanna River.

Notes:

I saw three different birds that I had never seen before on the same dock at the same time.
