Cape Robin-Chat

Cossypha caffra

Description:

Short white eyebrow stripe, Orange Throat and upper breast. The rest of the breast is grey. Belly and undertail coverts are tawny orange.

Habitat:

Forest edge and garden near low lying coast.

Notes:

Common resident. Alarm call is a guttural "wur-da-durrr"; song is a series of melodious phrases starting with "cherooo-weet-weet-weeeet"
