Tarucus nara
It is found from the low country dry zone, strictly northern and north eastern species, inhabiting an area above an arc extending from Mannar to Batticaloa. Since it inhabits driest parts of north, it seeks out for available moisture and can be seen flying on the banks or rivers and tanks.
