Western Black Widow

Latrodectus hesperus

Description:

A large black spider with a very spherical abdomen. On the underside was an orange hourglass.

Habitat:

Darkness, under a rock. She didn't like being disturbed. There were 3 spider egg sacks under the rock as well.

Notes:

These spiders can be very dangerous if you are bitten by one. If you are, it is best to seek medical treatment.
