Black-headed Yellow Wagtail

Motacilla flava feldegg

Description:

Identified by the extensive black hoof and all-yellow underside.

Habitat:

Agricultural fields by coastal marshes.

Notes:

These birds are from East Africa and normally migrate through Israel to Eastern Europe, but every year a few take the long way round via Gibraltar with the Blue-headed race M.f.flava, as in this case, a couple of these were with a flock of perhaps 20 Blue-headeds.
