Culex mosquito

Description:

I found this mosquito on the wall in my backyard. I think, the species of this mosquito is Culex pipiens. This is a female one, and it is rest after feeding a blood (you can see the blood inside its stomach). The length of this mosquito is about 4 - 6 mm. I don't know if this one can transmit harmful human diseases.

Habitat:

- Around the house and garden.

Notes:

- The mosquito is from family of Culicidae. Adult mosquito from genus Culex can be identified from blunt abdomen, short palpus, narrow wing scales, and few other characteristics.
