Tetragonia tetragonioides
Prostrate ground cover with semi-succulent leaves, edible leaves taste best lightly steamed. Common in coastal areas on the beach. Picked from T. implexicoma by the length of the peduncle (flower stalk), tetragonioides has sessile flowers sitting flush in the leaf axil. Despite the name it is considered native to Aus. Member of the Aizoaceae, related to Pigface (Carpobrotus)
