Backwards KarenL! In the green frog (Lithobates clamitans) and American bullfrog (Lithobates catesbeianus), if the ear drum is approximately the same size as the eye it is female. If the ear drum is approximately 2x the size of the eye, it is male>

Emma, the ears in the female are larger than her eyes, the males are smaller. So it seems that the girls have the better listening skills even in the animal kingdom!
