A very large herd animal that had been native to The Badlands, but reintroduced in the 1960s. This herd is not free range but rather self-contained on some 64,000 acres to ensure the health of the herd.
High plains, prairie.

I recently posted one similar whenI was travelling with my son through Wind Cave NP on our way to Mt Rushmore. Good sighting!
