Plutonia lamarckii

Description:

Looks like a land snail with an under developed shell. Beautiful glossy brownish snail with delicate greenish patterns on the shell!

Thanks again, martinl. Think I'll go with it, though I could not find one that resembles more.

:) Thanks so much for the lead, martinl. I could track it to 'Semi-slug' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semi-slug.

I found this on the mountains, close to wet leaves and rocks.

HA!!! A cross between a snail and slug. Fascinating evolutionary link. Some call it a snug =)

Not sure, Emma! It is possible as it was found on the rocks lying on the trekking track. It was also soft, so it could be growing.

Do you think that it's shell could have been broken?
