Southern Leopard Frog

Description:

This frog is about 6 cm or 2.5 in. It has a green body with light stripes down its sides and along the jaw. The legs are brown and the dark spots make them look striped. Long legs and toes. They are nocturnal and carnivorous.

Habitat:

Small pocket park with a large drainage canal to Lake Lewisville. This one was deep in the newly mowed grass.
