Metalmark moth

Brenthia sp. (Choreutidae; Brenthiinae)

Description:

Small moth about 1 - 1.5 cm that mimicked the look and behaviour of a jumping spider (Salticidae); turns back towards threat and opens wings.

Habitat:

In corner of a garden of a seaside resort on Siquijor Island, Philippines. Seemed happy to show itself openly on the leaves of a small plant during the day. Found on the same plant the next day.
