Spotting

Description:

This is a caddisfly pupa. It also hides inside a rocky case. The remnants of that case, after I disturbed it to see what was inside, are shown in the 2nd photo. The pupa is about 13 mm in length. I marked it Unknown because I do not know which species of caddisfly this is.

Habitat:

Under a rock, in the water of a gently flowing stream.
