That was the case with the female I saw about a month ago. But this guy was very vocal and aggressive, not sure if there was a nest nearby or not. There was female in the area but I only caught a glimpse of her.

Nice one! I have tried to get good shots of these beautiful birds and it is a challenge as they are usually far away or fly off quickly. Congratulations on getting this!
