A well known and well loved orb spider featuring the positioning of the legs in four directions like a cross, and also transverse banding along the abdomen

Habitat:

In long grass.

Notes:

Thought it was St Andrews cross spider.

This is a nice looking female Martin. Might have to change the reference link which says this is A.keyserlingi.
