Description:

Risiocnemis is a damselfly in family Platycnemididae (sometimes known as Platycnemidae), called the White-legged Damselflies. This genus is a Philippine endemic. Typical of rivulets, springs and streams in forest, the adult could be seen resting on leaves and twigs around the waterways.

Habitat:

Along the Molawin Creek at the Makiling Botanic Gardens, a forest park of the Mt. Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (adjacent or within the UPLB-College of Forestry and Natural Resources), University of the Philippines at Los Baños, Laguna.

Notes:

ID provided by Dr. Reagan Joseph T. Villanueva. Not a sp. plebeja, as this sp does not exist in Luzon.
