Thank you for the nice comments. I found their sleeping spot by accident: I was in the garden just as it was starting to get dark, and noticed there was a lot of buzzing around a particular corner. I was surprised, it was getting late and there were no flowers in that spot. Turns out that they were getting ready for bed!
Hello machel malay, Welcome to Project Noah. What a beautiful first spotting. I like it even more because I have never seen these creatures sit still for a moment...it is lovely to see them sleep so sweetly...all clustered together. As you know, this is a site to post wildlife (no pets or zoo photos, please) taken by you. In case you already know the name of the species you have photographed...go right ahead and fill in the boxes. The Suggestion box is for others to give you names in case you need help with identification. In case you agree with the suggestion, use the Edit option (under the photo on the screen) and input the information so that the spotting is complete. Also, please fill in where you saw the species...not what books say about where it is found. Each spotting gets its own page! Enjoy the site. Good luck with more spottings!

Great photos. I have yet to find where the blue banded bees that I see, hang out.
