These little guys were crawling all over the rocks at the lake in Estes Park, Colorado. They look like miniature prairie dogs...but about 1/2 the size.

Thanks, Em...yes...but Joshua also suggested the Utah Ground Squirrel! I don't think these guys have the black tip on the tail...it's light...doesn't look white either...why have I never heard of a potgut??? I looked it up and it looks like this!! Look at the tail on the 3rd pic...do you see 3 bands...one black, one white and one red? It's vague, but I think it's there...so then it's a potgut...or Belding's Ground Squirrel...???
