After looking at photo 2 and enlarging it the best I could on a poor monitor, it does appear to me that I see yellow feet on this egret. That would mean it is indeed a Snowy Egret. Seeing as you state the feet were yellow it is for certain a Snowy Egret. The Snowy Egret scientific name is Egretta thula. It would be great if you could add this to your spotting.

Now I don't know, Belinda ... only know I saw his yellow feet..
Looks like a white. Snowy Egrets have black bills with yellow near the eye, white egrets have all yellow bills. :)
